We went out with Outer Island Expeditions on June 19 and it was a fantastic day! (Captain) Andrew and Aubrey were an amazing power duo who ensured that the visitors on the Blackfish II had a safe, optimal experience! They worked hard to find whales for us, and we were one of the first boats on site with humpback whales near the border to Canadian waters. Though we didn’t see orcas (nor did any of the other boats out when we did, as they were collaborating on the radio channels), we were blessed with a variety of wildlife — bald eagles, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, the aforementioned humpback whales, and many harbor porpoises on the return trip in. They also stopped and shared with us a peregrine falcon nest and helped point out the chick that was in it. They were fun, thoughtful, and very considerate of their guests, ensuring that we felt safe and also had a wonderful experience! I have been out on many whale watches and this crew was definitely top tier, if not THE BEST, I have been out with. This was my first trip out with this company during 2020, and I will be back for sure! I had gone out with them a few times last year and always had a wonderful experience! Thank you, Outer Island Expeditions team - you always go above and beyond, and your caring for your customers and the local area and wildlife shines through! :) I would and do strongly recommend this team, company, and experience.

Relaxing, comfortable, informative, and magical! It was stunning to see orcas, humpbacks, and minkes! The Outer Island crew is at once laid-back, professional, knowledgable and friendly. Can't wait for my next trip with them!

I had an amazing time on my whale watching expedition today. Captain Dave started the tour off right by delivering the rules in a fun and joking manner that wasn’t stern but also made everybody laugh. We saw a few humpback whales including a mother and calf, which was very surreal. This trip was the last tour of the season so I feel like I did get good value for my experience considering how late in the season it was. The boat itself was pretty comfortable and I was able to warm up after intentionally sitting at the head of the boat with water spraying and wind in my face for too long. The stop to see the sea lions was probably my favorite part. They are pretty funny creatures and brought a smile to my face. Thanks for a wonderful tour. I would love to return during peak whale watching season.
