Olivia, Meghan, Sean & Drew are the crew members that served us! They were all very welcoming, enthusiastic & knowledgeable about the sea/orcas. Just when my husband & I thought that we wouldn’t see any Orcas, the captain made the effort to go to Victoria, BC to see a pod of whales- I believe it was “A-Pod 109.” It was incredible to see the orcas in their natural habitat (outside of the zoo). Highly recommend this company & crew.

I wanted to give this tour 5 stars, but unfortunately, some staff members made it a poor experience for us. When we checked in to sign our waivers, the staff member was very sarcastic with my brother-in-law, who was just trying to ensure all his family members would be on the same tour. During the tour, it was announced that we could ask questions at any time. However, the guide, who seemed stressed, snapped at me when I asked a question, telling me to wait. Myself and others also observed the same guide being rude to a child. Additionally, the captain was not very nice to my brother-in-law, who was roaming about the boat. While he may have been in the wrong area, there was no need for rudeness. All that aside, we did get to see whales, which was our ultimate goal. However, we won't be returning to that particular tour in the future.

Tempting as it may be, unfortunately we cannot allow guests at the helm of the vessel because this is a huge safety concern. All of our guides have different personalities so I am sorry you found this guide abrupt, but like with the helm safety of our guests is our top priority and our guides need to be strict especially when kids might have their safety at risk. Asking questions is welcomed and encouraged, but if your guide is in the middle of something we ask guests to please be patient because they will address your questions as soon as they can. Stoked you got to see whales though!
