My husband, mother and I traveled to Atlanta for a weekend visit and decided to take in some sights. Without question, one cannot go to Atlanta and not gain the rich Civil Rights experience. I read the details and reviews about this tour and signed up at 6pm the night before. Surprising, our tour guide Omar contacted us later the same night and again the next day to make sure we were all set for the tour. Omar arrived the next day on time and we were surprised (again) to have our own personal guided tour in a very nice SUV with snacks and drinks! The tour was better than we expected! We saw all the incredible sites outlined on the tour, but what made it really outstanding, was Omar! He was an extraordinary narrator and guide of the Civil Rights and Black experience. His wealth of information and story-telling style made us feel like we were actually living the experience. My husband actually had a moment when he shed tears while walking the halls of Ebenezer Baptist Church as Omar recounted Dr. King’s funeral and we listened to recording Dr. King’s actual voice. From the Civil Rights era, to seeing the consortium of HBCUs, to visiting Tyler Perry’s studio, the Underground, historic neighborhoods, businesses districts and lots of food and cultural areas.,,, this was by far one of the best tours we’ve every experienced. Not to mention Omar was a lot of fun, extremely personable and he gives prizes if you answer his trivia questions correctly! We wish we had more time! We give this tour 10 stars ⭐️! We will definitely take this tour again o our next visit!
