My mom and I had a great time on the aurora tour we did with AuroraQuest! Although the night was a bit chillier than we anticipated, the van was warm, clean, and had snacks and hot drinks, so we stayed very comfortable. Our guide, Rene, was so accommodating; he picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and even brought his camera to take pictures of us and the aurora since I told him ahead of time that we didn't have any photography equipment of our own. It's very clear that he loves Alaska and has a lot of knowledge about the outdoors. After sharing a few stories of his own camping adventures, he kindly gave my mom a copy of the books he has written. To top it all off, the aurora was out and looked absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend this company if you're looking for a personalized experience with a smaller company.
