Sarah was our guide--she has a masters degree in history. She was, bar none, the best tour guide for any tour I've ever taken anywhere. It's easy to think about the history of the witch trials entirely based on Arthur Miller's "The Crucible". But that is woefully inadequate. The full story is much richer and nuanced. In fact, I HIGHLY recommend "A Storm of Witchcraft" by Emerson W. Baker if you have ANY interest in the witch trials. I picked up that book (and have been absorbed) after finishing the tour with Sarah because I just had to know more. Sarah was interesting and animated. The tour was fascinating. People should be aware that while the trials took place in Salem, everything started in Salem Village (further inland) and hanging hill is not part of the tour (it's about a mile or so south). But none of that matters. It was phenomenal. Thank you Sarah.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Sarah was our tour guide and she was fabulous! Sarah is very knowledgable on Salem history and the details of the witch trials, and she struck a great balance of discussing the seriousness of the trials but also kept things entertaining. The tour was a perfect length of time and hit most of the locations that were significant during the trials, and Sarah pointed out other places we could go to after the tour if we wanted to explore further. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about the Salem witch trials and Salem's history!

Sarah was the absolute best. She knew her material. She was passionate about the history, cordial and funny. Her story telling and the way she tied everything back to present day was perfect. 10/10 must do when in Salem.
