We were on the night tour Saturday. What started out as a dismal night ended up having a happy ending. When we got to stop number 1, it was raining and raining hard. At first we didn't think we would see much and second what we thought was that we might see a fight. I say that because two big women got on board and were very aggressive towards the driver and the guide. They were rude and condescending. Your team de-escalated the situation in a smooth classy way. The tour guide Mike greeted all the passengers and all asked where they were from. One of these aggressive women said she didn't want to play "the game". He responded by saying he hoped she will have a good time and enjoy what Chicago has to offer and offered a heart felt welcome to Chicago. He went to the other woman who was with her and she softened up a bit and told him she was from New York. Mike continued to exhibit kindness towards her even though she felt slighted and she opened up as time went on. Our driver Derrick, whom Mike called Louise, was very courteous and took us by the Buckingham fountain for some great shots. He took the time to allow us to take pictures of the Skyline by Museum park. Although it was muddy, we got great photos, and Mike explain to us the retail merchants involvement in the cultural fabric of Chicago. Mike, also known as Thelma, explained the "666" building to us and Van de Row's influenced on Chicago as we passed the four apartment buildings he designed by the lake. Your night tour was great. We will recommend your company to others visiting your city. But it is your team Mike the tour guide and Derrick the driver, that displayed elegance and class in de-escalating a volatile situation and making a tour worthwhile, in spite of the storms that came. We were happy the rain stopped.

Hop on hop off is a great way to get an overview of Chicago! Tour only takes 2 hours and you hit most of the hotspots with plenty of picture opportunities. Guides were great and we always got a seat up top.
