I rode on Hop-on-hop-off busses in many countries and this was one my least favorites. First, the wait for the bus was quite long. Second, they do not have earbuds with which you can listen to explanations about the city. Instead, they have a loud person who makes jokes and talks about Chicago in relation to his own experience - not interesting.

In regards to the wait time for the buses, normally our service runs about every 17-24 minutes, but sometimes that can be extended due to the high volume of traffic in such a busy area. Well worth the money. Chicago is so huge you need to get basics done. Our tour guide, Jack, was amazing - informative, funny, helpful - made our ride a highlight of visit. One of best hop on hop offs experienced in USA

Alex was an extremely entertaining and informative tour guide. Reggie did an incredible job navigating our bus through downtown traffic. We Began the tour with Alex and hopped off at one of the stops. The next tour guide was very unprofessional and virtually silent along the route. In fact she was so boring we got off at the next available stop. She and the bus driver did not communicate well. She told the upper deck where we were sitting, we could stand up and exit the bus. The bus driver was unaware that we were standing and walking down the stairs when the bus suddenly lurched forward into traffic and I fell and banged my knee. When we later got back on another big bus, we were extremely relieved to see that we were back on Alex‘s tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny and helpful!! We Gave a rating of four because Alex deserved a five and the other girl deserved a one.
