My husband and 8 month old daughter decide to take this tour on a hot day because we thought it would be a great way to get around the city. We decided to sit on the lower level due to having our daughter’s stroller and not wanting her to get scorched by the sun on the top deck. The lower level is not air conditioned and on some buses the windows don’t even open. It was like sitting in an oven. I kept wiping my daughter down with a burp cloth and bottled water to cool her off. At one point we got out and walked and it was probably 10 degrees cooler outside. If you choose to sit on the lower level due to a stroller or a wheelchair and it is a hot day. You will be wasting your money. This company doesn’t seem to understand that the elderly, young children, people with medical conditions can die in excessive heat. AC should not be considered a luxury. Based on the cost per person to take this tour, I’m sure they can afford AC. I contacted this company right after our tour, via their web site, and never heard a single word back from them. They just want to collect your money and let you roast!

An amazing quick trip to Chicago with my teenage son before he heads to college! Chicago is his favorite city & Big Bus help make it a great trip! Always such enthusiastic guides!

It was nice to learn some history about the city. Our tour guide was good. I did not research the stops of where you can hop on and off until we were on the bus. It took a while to find the Michigan Ave pick up spot. We took the tour to the Shedd Aquarium and didn’t hop back on there after but from what I understand you can hop on and off as much as you like and you can loop around steady up to 2 hours. It was a good experience. Getting it at Michigan Ave meant we did get a seat on top as it was the starting point.
