We were disappointed that the recorded tour was difficult to hear over the traffic noise , even with the earphones provided. The buses we got on didn’t have a scanner to scan our tickets, and kept telling us to wait until we got to the first stop. The bus driver didn’t tell us about the earphones; we wasted half an hour not being able to hear the tour until one of the other attendees offered us theirs. Another tour driver kept talking over the recorded tour; we didn’t know if we should listen to him or the recording. It was easy to find the stops for the bus and get on and off the tour when necessary, and the drivers were very friendly.

I had done several hop on- hop off and have to say Anton was the best. He really seems to enjoy sharing his love of Chicago. He didn’t depend on the pre-recorded info. Other drivers only spoke to announce the next stop. He provided lots of little details that really made a difference.
