Our Red Bus Tour on 19th June was informative and entertaining but... I was double charged. I paid for the downtown tour online in UK before leaving home, and when I presented the QR code to the agent on the bus in New York, he informed me a balance was owing. I doubted that but presented my credit card for processing. I then checked my bank app and was able to prove to him that the trip had been paid for in advance after all, and no balance was owing. At the next stop he and us got off the bus and he conferred with his supervisor as a ticket still had to be issued to enable us to hop on and off. The supervisor checked with HQ via a phone call that advance payment had been made and, after being assured it was, he then issued our ticket. He also assured us that our credit card payment had not processed. Luckily I kept the credit card slips, and ticket, because when I got home and checked my credit card statement, it transpired we'd been charged after all. So we'd paid in advance, and were charged again in NY. I've provided evidence of these transactions to the Big Bus company and am still awaiting a resolution, ie refund of $87.10
