A few days before the trip, I contacted Viator to get basic information about the bus tour in NYC. It took a day to receive a reply. And, I saw that it would have cost less to purchase the tickets directly through Big Bus instead of Viator. During our tour, the lines to get on a bus were over a half an hour long. The staff did not keep the crowd in the line so it wound up blocking a bike lane- we were yelled at by bikers. We were so tired of waiting and it was near the end time of the bus tour, so our group agreed to sit on the bottom part of the next bus that came along. Big mistake. There was no air conditioning and the windows did not open!! We nearly passed out from the heat!! When we got off the bus, dripping in sweat, we asked for a refund. A person took our address. I hope you reply to this comment.

Worst decision ever. Took a friend of our daughter for her first trip to NYC thinking this would be a good way for her to see the major sites conveniently. Bought tickets in advance. Stood in a line to get on the bus for 45 minutes with an expected loop of 90 minutes. Another 45 minutes in and only about a third through the tour. Saw there was a parade which we assumed was the cause of the delay as there was no communication from the driver. No announcements about where “hop on hop off” stops were. We finally got off in Soho with the driver screaming at us to quickly exit. Save your money and take the subway.

First of all the wait for buses was terrible. The workers at the bus stop were so rude when you asked where the bus was going. We got on the bus finally no sound for the tour. Told the drive he told us to get off and get another bus. Asked the drive what stop was the 911 observatory tour. We were told we were on the wrong bus. Got off when we asked the work what bus yo get on he said that we were on the right bus. Than we had to wait for another bus making us late for our time at the observatory tour. Do not recommend this bus. We have always did grey line in the past Going back!!
