It is a very nice excursion from SLC for the discovery of the huge salt flats, culminating in the fascinating Bonneville stretch, well known for the performance in high speed records. John, my guide, was very polite and friendly at the same time and provided clear and comprehensive information on the historical, geographical and naturalistic characteristics of the salt flats. He made a couple of timely stops along the way and suggested excellent street food by lunch time,

Fantastic tour of the Bonneville Slat Flats and Speedway with a 15 min stop by the lake/ visitor center on the way. The guide David was friendly, energetic, courteous and made sure guests were take care off. I would definitely suggest the sunset tour vs the morning tour- the shadows during golden hour make it dramatic. We left SLC at 3:00 an got back at 9:00 PM. The van is super comfortable, and David ha packed water and snacks.

The salt flats were pretty amazing, something to marvel at in person. The great salt lake was also nice to see, but it's a lake. The third stop, the art work in the middle of nowhere was more of a curiosity and in my humble opinion should be cleaned up a little. There was a lot of garbage strewn around which was a shame. Daniel the tour guide was great as were my fellow participants and it was a great 6 hours spent!
