Honestly, I wouldn’t bother. If it wasn’t for the fact I was with people with mobility problems I would have walked it as it would be an awful lot quicker.
We arrived into Boston via a cruise ship and understand it would have been busy. We boarded the trolly just after 9.00am and got there off on stop 7, after spending an hour at this attraction we waited 30 minutes for another trolley to take us to the Cheers bar, after an hour we waited for another one to take us to Quinceys market. Nothing turned up after 30 mins so we walked to stop 12 - where we waited and waited. One trolley turned up after 45 minutes but was full, I asked the driver if any other trolleys were nearby and he answered ‘well I can’t see around the whole of Boston can I’ he then closed the doors and we heard him announce to everybody ‘what does she expect a trolley to herself’!!!
We then waited another 20 minutes and this bus only had 4 spaces, we were a party of six so two of our party decided to walk back to the cruise terminal as there was a risk of missing the ship if we waited any longer.
In total we only had time for two stops, so no I would not recommend this whatsoever. The traffic in Boston is terrible so much quicker to walk if you are able.
