We took the City View Hop On Trolley this week, from Atlantic Avenue, in Boston. When we arrived, the trolley was getting ready to leave, so we hopped right on and were off. We did notice that there were two more trolleys lined up behind the first, which was part of the reason we took that one, instead of the other company, City View appeared to be the most popular and were filling trolley after trolley, while the other one was hardly full.
The tour was comprehensive, passing some great sites and attractions. We got off at the Charlestown stop and visited the constitution. When we returned, another trolley arrived quickly, which is great when you only have a short amount of time to sightsee. We then decided to get off at the Boston Common, visited the swan boats, the Make Way For Ducklings Bronzes, and a quick trip to the bar Cheers was depicted from. Again we were able to board another trolley quickly.
Our driver was the best, He was super informative and provided information both about the sites and the background history of each point of interest. His knowledge was deep and he presented it in a humorous and entertaining way. He even took the time to allow questions. It was obvious he loved his job and took pride in providing insight and education to his passengers, about the history and happenings in Boston. We highly recommend this tour.
