This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County.

You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park.

At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land.

Our tour guide, Collin, was so much fun and energetic and engaging. He showed us so much of the shore line and offered encouragement when it got rough paddling against the wind. When he learned of an injury a participant had, even though it did not in any way affect the tour, he still made a point of checking in during and after the tour to make sure she was okay. The entire process was simple and professional and all the staff where incredible. If there is anything to do in Door County this is it!

My friend and I went on the cave point kayak tour and had a fun time. The view was pretty and the water was pristine. Weather was chilly, but out in the sun it was quite nice. The guides were both great and friendly, waiting for us as we trailed behind the rest of the pack. Take advantage of the picture opportunities to get some good shots while out. The drive from the shop to water is nice and short

Our family would totally recommend the Cave Point kayak tour with Door County Kayak. Easy booking online and directions arrived via email with helpful details. The weather forecast was iffy and they were very willing to work with changes. Our day turned out beautiful! My husband and three boys (14,11,&8) felt super confident because of our guide’s encouragement. Tyler and Andrew were incredibly helpful, friendly, informative, and great conversationalists. Their personalities and courteous help made the experience that much more fun. We especially loved their “dad jokes.” Together they customized our experience to our needs and made sure we were safe. Having visited Cave Point Park, I can say that it was a totally different experience viewing it from the water. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen and makes walking in the Cave Point park seem frustrating because you can’t actually see the formations from land. I can’t imagine another kayak experience where you get to view such phenomenal sights so closely. The tour was the highlight of our trip. We’d totally book the same trip (or any other) with Door County Kayak.
