This tour is a great thing to do at the beginning of your stay in New York. Not only do you get to taste some delicious food but Liz is also an excellent source of information when it comes to finding other things to do once the mainstream attractions start to get a bit much.
A lot of other tours I was looking up before focussed on Bagels and Pizza, so it was refreshing to find something different and more genuine.
My tour started in Chinatown and concluded at Little Italy, along the way you get to see some historic buildings and food shops, some of which have been operated by the same family for generations. We started with a Dim Sum and later tasted Pasta, Dumplings, Antipasti and Coffee.
The walk between destinations wasn’t too long and the portions of food at all stops was sensible- no risk of accidentally eating too much at one place and not being able to consume anything more at the next, which is a problem I’ve had with other food tours in the US.
I went back to many of the destinations that were showcased at various stages for the rest of my stay in New York and would not have done so if I hadn’t been informed about it by Liz.
Would recommend to anyone who loves food and is interested about the history of Little Italy and Chinatown.
