This tour was so much fun! We were initially greeted by our tour guide Liz who who set the tone by welcoming us with enthusiasm and a big smile. She was knowledgeable about the food, the culture and the history of Little Italy and Chinatown. We are native New Yorkers and this tour far surpassed our expectations. The restaurant selections and the food tastings were awesome!

Any new city I go to, I book a food/walking tour. It's a great way to see the city, learn it's history and nosh on some local cuisine. The Little Italy and Chinatown tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide Liz gave great information about where we were, the significance of each place and the food was delicious. You could walk to all of the places on our own, but you would miss out on all the interesting information discussed and perfect sampling portions of the food. You will leave full! One of my favorite things was enjoying a dim sum with the group - with no waiting in line!

Just returned from the Little Italy and Chinatown tour and I must say it far exceeded my expectations. Our guide Liz is so passionate about the history of these ethnic neighborhoods and the FOOD within its many shops. I am a life-long New Yorker of Italian descent and she took us into Italian shops I had never even noticed and fed us some very delicious tastings. The history behind the neighborhoods was particularly interesting. The story of New York is the story of immigrants and these two neighborhoods should be part of any list to NYC. There is very little walking in this walking tour as these neighborhoods are literally connected to each other. And it is a rain or shine tour and indeed we did it in pouring rain. But Liz was prepared to talk at length when we were indoors or below awnings so that we were dry even if she was not. There were a dozen of us on the tour so it was possible for each of us to interact with our tour guide. Finally I should point out that the amount of food served in total is sufficient to replace lunch.
