Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

We can’t say enough about the team at Downstream at Clear Creek. Beyond what we expected thanks to our rad guide Chaz. He turned a 4 star review into a 5. Thanks again for a super fun afternoon on the water!

Amazing Experience, Highly Recommend. We have rafted with Downstream twice and had an excellent experience each time. They are well organized, seem genuinely excited to meet you, provide a thorough orientation, and appear authentically concerned about the quality of your experience. This year our guide was Chaz. He had a wonderful sense of humor and easy conversational style that was engaging and affirming of his competence as a guide. He told us all about the river as we rafted and gave us warnings for each rapid stretch, obstacle, and photo ops. This is a must do on our Colorado trips each summer and Downstream continues to blow us away with their excellent service.
