We have had ziplining on our bucket list for years, and, when we were presented with this opportunity as a present from our family, we were very excited and had high expectations.
We were not disappointed. From the time we boarded the van to take us to the course until we returned, we felt we were in the hands of professionals. Throughout the entire adventure we were impressed that safety was always the top priority. Our two guides, Willow and Jim, were very friendly and helpful, guiding us through everything we needed to know along the entire course.
Unlike many other ziplining experiences we have heard about from others, this one is much more 'hands on' and requires more active participation. We were responsible for our own speed and braking, and body control through some relatively tight corridors through the trees. As far as we were concerned, this was a significant positive aspect of the tour. Other places, you apparently get clipped onto a line and go for a ride. This was a genuine adventure.
We thoroughly liked the progression of difficulty and speed of the lines from the tame and slow to the fast, long and exciting. By the time we got to the last few lines, we were sufficiently well schooled on basic techniques to be able to enjoy the more challenging zips.
The three suspension bridges, the mini rappel and the spiral staircase between platforms high in a tree formed a nice contrast to the zipping experience.
When we came to the final platform, all we could say was "Again?"
As a result of this experience, ziplining is no longer on our bucket list, but has graduated to the "I've got to do this again" list.
Highly recommended!
