We selected this company because of their eco friendly status compared to other companies that operate out of Oahu and I have to say we could not have chosen better.
From the moment of pick up, we were greeted by the owner (Richard), the GM (sorry, can't remember his name) and then two of the staff Mel & Miyumi. It was such a warm welcome onboard the bus, especially at 5.30am!! The management team don't normally join the tours so it was a nice touch. The GM even gave one of the guests his personal coffee because she asked if there was any onboard, if you are a coffee drinker like me than you'll know how big a deal this is!!
We prebooked a lot of the extras with the tour (wetsuit & photo + video package) plus preselected our meal as you get a cheeseburger as part of the tour (my wife doesn't eat meat so selected vegetarian option).
We drove to the boat which was around 45mins. We boarded and met the rest of the crew but unfortunately I didn't get all of their names. Mike was the skipper and did a great job operating the slide at our anchor point, (a must try even for the big kids like me!!). Oliver ran the tour and did a fantastic job as he was both funny and very informative. We had great luck and were able to see dolphins almost immediately after getting to the location. We quickly got in the water and saw them swimming beneath us and playing around in the group. What an experience!! We were able to get on the boat and do one more drop to see them again as well, it was so amazing. Dianna did a fantastic job guiding us around in the water, particularly because there were jellyfish around and some of the people did get stung, but not badly and the staff were efficient and sorted them out quickly.
Shortly after we docked up for some snorkeling, photos from Mel, paddleboarding and my favourite - the water slide! After that was time to head back, the crew entertained us with some traditional dancing and music while we ate our burgers (delicious by the way!). We were greeted with some more dolphins playing around out of the water as we came in to dock, a wonderful finish to an incredible tour.
Seriously if you are looking at these tours - do not look past this company. It is money well spent and they care deeply about the protection of the environment and the creatures inside it.
