Passengers must be 10yrs old or older to participate on the Doors Off flight. Only passengers 16 years old and older can be on an outside/edge seat.
Any passenger exceeding 230lbs or two passenger combined over 400lbs must purchase a comfort seat. This is an additional seat for comfort and safety.
This also applies to ANY single passenger weighing 250lbs or more no matter what the combined weight with others is. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Tennis Shoes must be worn, no flip flops are allowed on board of the aircraft

are you kidding me? its been 2 weeks since i haven't received a refund after the refund confirmation. 700$ just hanging in there without 0 response from tripadvisor for weeks now…

I am so sorry you are having issues with Trip Advisor refunding your money. Sounds like you got canceled with us at Air Kauai and we notified Trip Advisor/Viator to refund and for some reason there is a delay in that. Can you please contact us at [email protected] or call 808-246-4666 and we can get more information on your canceled reservation with us so we can personally get in touch with Trip Advisor/Viator and see why you are having issues with the refund. Unfortunately since you booked through Trip Advisor/Viator you paid them not us directly at Air Kauai so the refund will be done by Trip Advisor.

What an incredible experience! Definitely a bucket list experience! For the price I think this will be a one time thing, but worth doing it once for sure! Adam was our pilot and he was knowledgeable and great. So glad the day wasn't cloudy because it would have felt like a waste if you can't see things! The company itself was very nice. The place you check in was professional with 4 nice bathrooms and they show you a video beforehand which is helpful. Very clean and the staff was great! The lanyards they give you for your phones are awesome. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I couldn't hear the pilot through my headphones and he says lots of things along the way. My experience compared to my husband's differed just because of this. Another thing I would recommend is if you have long hair, which I do, they tell you to pull it back. Unfortunately I just pulled mine into a bun and it did not stay in good! I literally couldn't brush it out! So...if you have long hair, BRAID IT!! It will make a huge difference!

As three older women, we weren’t sure what to expect on this adventure, but we were up for it! Kelby was an excellent tour guide (and a very experienced pilot with strong ties to the island of Kauai.) His love of flying around the island was conveyed clearly. We were lucky enough to have a clear day to see ALL the beautiful spots we would never be able to explore on land. I had a seat behind the pilot in the doors off helicopter, and the views were magnificent. Everything you would expect. I DO admit to feeling nervous that we were “only” strapped in by a seat belt of the kind you find on airplanes. I would have been able to relax more if we had had a harness, but I admit to hating roller coasters and heights in general. I was definitely able to relax and enjoy the flight though!! I let my two friends take the pictures! If you have ANY questions about whether or not to do the doors off experience, just DO IT!!
