I was in Nashville for a business conference with my wife and we wanted to take a tour of the downtown early during our stay to get oriented, and to be able to take better advantage later of all that the downtown offers. We chose this tour because it had received excellent ratings . . . and we made the right choice! We highly recommend the tour (though Ryan's sense of humor may not be for everyone :) ). Ryan went our of his way to inform, to be considerate, and to entertain. He excelled at all three! We were a difficult group, but Ryan worked hard to please everyone, and I think he did. Our group included my wife who has to use a walker, young teens, and a family from Canada who seemed to know nothing about country music. It was also 90+ degrees and humid. An impossible situation, right? Ryan handled it all seamlessly . . . found shade and a little rest along the way, and had the teens very engaged and laughing early into the 2 hour tour. Ryan is very knowledgeable of all things Nashville. VERY well done! One suggestion . . . bring a bottle of water if it is hot. Water is not supplied.

Must do for first timers to Nashville. Ryan is both informative and fun. Walking to the points of interest with a personal guide beats riding around in a bus.

I don't understand all of the high ratings for this tour. The tour is boring and Ryan is over the top in his presentation. Our group left the tour about 1/2 way. We didn't want to waste any more of our time.

I know exactly who this is and I saw this coming. Correct me if I'm wrong - you're the one that started texting me before the tour even began asking where I was though the tour started on time. This was odd and quite frankly I found it rude but ignored it. To be honest, your group did not seem to be in the best of moods from the outset, but regardless, I do my best to entertain people anyway. Everyone else seemed to be having a fine time but whether you decided from the outset you weren't going to enjoy yourself or you had decided that a tour that starts on time is somehow not on time by some unknown definition, I honestly believe there was nothing ANY tour guide could have done to please you and your group that day. I have learned over time that you can put on the performance of your life, receive a standing ovation, and one dude in the corner will go "meh." I've just accepted it. I think, in this case, you were that dude, Dave. The tour was "over the top?" Um, I don't do boring tours. This seems to have been the wrong tour for you. If you were not looking to get a Really Entertaining Tour, I agree that you should not have wasted your money on something explicitly named as such. They're the only tours we do.
