I booked this helicopter tour as a surprise for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was the best thing that I could've ever done. I took my first flying lesson here at Stinson Airfield in 1977, so it was great to be back; so much has changed. My wife didn't have a clue until we met our pilot Alex. From lift-off to touch-down, it was an extraordinary, exciting adventure. Alex took the time to explain the instruments, engine start-up to shut-down. He showed us the key spots in downtown San Antonio; although we live in San Antonio and know downtown S.A., this perspective from above was the best. Hovering at about 500 feet, zooming by the Tower of the Americas; we did that twice. We were so close to the Tower dining area that we could see the people waving back at us. My wife is still talking about it and that makes my day. Thank you Alamo Helicopters for an epic experience!! Thank you Alex for the outstanding personal experience; you are an amazing pilot and we will be back and ask for you personally. Thank you for making our 25th memorable and exciting!!

Jose was the pilot on my tour over San Antonio. It was amazing to see everything from a completely different vantage point from above! I was surprised to see that the Alamo was much smaller than I would have expected. The flight was in the evening and there was a nice sunset which made it even more spectacular! My only regret is that I didn’t make sure my phone was fully charged before the flight or that I didn’t have a better camera with me. Even so, I did manage to get one good picture with the sun setting behind the helicopter before my battery died. If you are in San Antonio, I would highly recommed taking a tour. I had never been on a helicopter before, but with Jose at the controls I wasn’t nervous at all. Great experience!
