Downtown Vegas is where old meets new. This is where the city first began and has gone through many changes throughout the years. On this casual, walking food tour, you'll sample small bites at several popular local restaurants, visit must-see attractions, hear fun facts about the city, and learn about the Las Vegas local culture.

Make sure you have your walking shoes on! You'll start on one end of Fremont Street where you'll start your sightseeing and foodie tour sprinkled with bits of history. After visiting Fremont Street Experience, you'll wander off-the-beaten-path to discover where the locals go to eat and hang out.

Guided by a longtime local and in a small group setting, you'll experience a personalized and insiders perspective into the local Las Vegas community.

First of all Kathryn is super nice and very informative. This tour has 7 total stops. 4 of them are in the first 30 minutes in the container park one right after another. You get a small glass of lemonade to start things off. Then you go to a jerky store where if your lucky you get some very tiny samples, it was super crowded when we were there so the owner was distracted. From there you walk about 100 feet and eat 1/2 an ear of street corn (average). From there another 100 feet and you eat 1/3 of a hot dog with some special toppings (good). After that you go walking for about 30 minutes before you get to a BBQ food truck and get a small 3 bite sub with some meat and toppings (average). After this you walk for about 1 hour until the next stop and that stop is a pizza place. The pizza is very good but think of a very small pizza and you get a tiny slice or 2. You also get a fairly large meatball (average). You spend a lot of time here and the they act like they don't know why you are there, not sure why this facility can't be called in advance since there is an hour leading up to it and have the food ready when you arrive. After that another 15 minutes walk where you get a small 6 oz shake that is very sweet and does taste good. Total of 7 stops in 2.5-3 hours, with 4 stops in the first 30 minutes. The best part of this tour is not the food but rather something you get to see inside of a men's bathroom in one of the hotels, I won't spoil that. I don't consider this a true "foodie" tour as the food was really nothing special. I suspect you get about $20 worth of food on the tour. Had high hopes, but was let down by the food and the long gaps after the first 30 minutes. if Kathryn was not so sweet and caring and informative I would of been angry at the cost of the tour and given this 1 star but her alone moves this up to 3 stars....Spencer S. After the awesome experience I had a few months ago on the Finger Licking Foodie tour with Tastebuzz Food Tours, it was only a matter of time before I decided to book another tour. This time around, I signed up for the Downtown Delights tour! Once again, this tour was exceptional! When most people think of Las Vegas they think of the Las Vegas strip, but downtown Las Vegas is actually the core of the city which possesses historic architecture along with bustling redevelopment. A recent redevelopment project that was completed downtown known as Container Park is where the tour began. Kathy, the owner and guide, gave us a very dynamic overview of what the Container Park consists of including the eclectic mix of food options inside. The variety of the items we got to enjoy here included a thirst-quenching handmade beverage, a popular street food that originated south of the border, and an all-American classic favorite food with a particular twist that will open up your mind as to what is possible when you use imagination with food! Kathy then shared with us some insight as to what is happening in downtown Las Vegas including the transformation of the neighborhoods. It is cool to hear her share this information along with her perspective because she is a Las Vegas native, and is knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as what is happening in the area now. While walking through downtown Las Vegas you really do gain an appreciation for the diversity in the architecture as you have a mixture of historic buildings alongside newly constructed restaurants, bars, and residential developments. Of course, there is so much more delicious food on the tour including a desert we were treated to with a combination of flavors that will surprise and delight you! Something I really found exhilarating about this tour was seeing the pieces of history on display along with the decorative touches that are featured inside some of the downtown hotels that we toured. Most locals (including myself) and tourists alike probably never know that these even exist in Las Vegas. Being led through these historic downtown hotels and hearing Kathy share the history behind these legendary properties makes for a really exclusive feel to the tour. At the end of the tour I really felt like I got to eat tasty food (including two of my all-time favorite things to eat), had an enjoyable time with a great group of people, and thanks to Kathy enhanced my knowledge not only about food, but about the city I was born and raised in! To me, that is value, and Tastebuzz Food Tours continues to impress! What a fun and interesting way to spend an afternoon in Las Vegas!

We had a wonderful time on the Downtown Delights foodie tour. Discovered some great local spots and ate some delicious food! Our tour guide Kat was awesome, she had some great info to share about Las Vegas history too. Highly recommended for visitors or locals!
