This "tour" wasn't what we expected. We expected to be visiting scenic/authentic distilleries and instead went to places in shopping centers. The first two distilleries literally were in an outlet mall and three of the other stops were in shopping centers. The description of the tour made it sound like we'd be seeing more of the region and learning about the history and it ended up being a shuttle. The driver, Pam, was very nice, but she provided no narration or information about the region, which was hugely disappointing. She was basically the DD. The distilleries and wineries offer free samples to everyone, so it's not like the cost of the tour covers any of the tastings. We had a really fun group, so that made the tour worthwhile. Otherwise, it would have felt like just another Uber ride. I guess it's cheaper than a DUI.

Yup, this is a tourist town and we have lots of malls and outlets. Since that's where the tourists tend to pool up then that's where they put their businesses. More people means more sales and more money. As long as you all keep wanting to visit shopping centers they will keep putting their distilleries in them. We stopped putting them out in the boonies away from prying eyes when they decided to go legal. You aren't the first person to point out the fact that we take you to a shopping mall and you won't be the last. We go where the moonshine is and it just happens to be inside a mall in some cases. Sorry to disappoint but it's not out in the backwoods anymore. For the 50th time I'll say it again ... tastings are free, you don't need us to do them. You can go on your own and taste most of the locations we visit for free ... however, drinking and driving is illegal and deadly. Who cares about a DUI, it's the human lives that we are concerned with. Have you seen how many cars we have in town? Imagine trying to navigate this city while intoxicated. We allow you to visit many locations in a safe way that ends in a location where you can have a meal or walk around until you are sober and able to drive. There's also public transit on site or ride share if you want to leave your vehicle and come back for it later. It's a safe area so you can enjoy yourself and have no worries until you are ready to drive again. The group thing you mentioned is the whole reason the tours are more enjoyable than drinking alone. In the beginning its just a group of strangers but by the end having experienced many locations together as a group and with the help of momma booze you are an instant friends and life is good ... that's the whole point. If you go on an alcohol tour to learn you ain't doing it right. By the end you won't remember much of the lessons if you been drinkin at every stop. We do provide information and entertainment while you are with us on the bus but every tour is different. Sometimes we talk a lot and sometimes the groups do all the talking.
