The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

We had a great trip today with Jacob. We were not sure what to expect with the recent rains. Water levels were way up but the team made sure we were all safe and had a great time. We will definitely see you again on our next trip.

This excursion exceeded all our expectations! The scenery was absolutely beautiful! Our guides Matt and Jake were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely conscientious. Not only was the adventure exciting, but we felt safe the whole time. The raft and equipment was very reliable, and the ride to the French Broad was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this activity to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and nature of the French Broad!

Gage was our guide and he was wonderful! We ended up being the only 2 people on the trip but he made sure to pull out all the stops and make the experience wonderful! He clearly has a passion for what he does. We will recommend this trip to everyone!
