This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

Tours go out rain or shine.

Wonderful walking tour of French Quarter. Enjoyed learning about the history of the French Quarter and New Orleans. Our guide was excellent, and I’d recommend this tour for anyone interested in the historical facts surrounding the French Quarter.

I arrived in New Orleans at 6:30 AM and by 10:30 AM, after coffee and beignets at Café Du Monde, I was on this tour. I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the city! My guide, Josh, clearly loves the city and knew its history, architecture, and culture very well. We kept in the shade whenever possible and went at a very manageable pace in the heat/sun. Very glad I chose to go with this tour company.
