If we could give this cruise more than 5 stars, we would! We took the 8.5 hour Northwestern Fjord Cruise. The ship holds a maximum of 36 passengers. Being it was so early in the tourist season and the COVID issues, we only had 11 on our cruise. On our cruise, we saw eagles, puffins, orca killer whales, sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, humpback whales, waterfalls, the Chiswell Islands, icebergs, and a large number of glaciers. One of the glaciers was calving and it sounded like thunder and shotguns when it would crack and groan before breaking off and falling into the sea. They served us a nice lunch on the boat. The crew was extremely nice and frequently sanitized railings, etc. throughout the cruise. You can stay inside the boat in your seat near the window and at a table, or you can goo outside on the front, back or side decks for views at any time. This was one of our favorite things of the whole trip.

Where do I start? Kayleigh, the captain, and Dylan were the absolute best! We saw porpoise, humpbacks, orcas, puffins, mountain goats and the most beautiful glaciers and icebergs. Kayleigh was incredible with her knowledge, her humor and her timing of presentations. I would highly recommend Major Marine!

A red letter day of birds whales fjords and glaciers. Gary and Abby are total pros. We felt safe, hit all the best spots, and learned a hell of a lot. A magical 8.5 hours.
