Well…. Before taking the drive to Galveston I was highly impressed that these tours existed in July rather than only in October. I had a epiphany about halfway through the tour. “It’s hot out here, we are walking through a cemetery, and it is not haunted. At all. This is why it’s available in July.” Although I can’t knock the hustle because it’s an excellent way to make money from people from other places in the country. When it was over, that’s exactly how I felt. “Hustled”. The straw that broke the camels back was when they introduced an app on your smartphone to help you see spirit movement. Like, C’mon man! Are you kidding me?
I suppose if the headline would have said “Historic Tour of graves of soldiers who fought in the Confederate War”, it would have been more truthful. I also understand that I would not have booked this tour if it said that so I get it. But although our guide was very nice, this tour was the worst dollars I spent on my trip.
