Centrum Honolulu

Downtown Honolulu
In 1809, Kamehameha I, who had been living at Waikiki which was once Hawaii's Royal Seat, moved his Royal Residence to Pākākā at Honolulu Harbor. Soon the area became the center for trading and, after Kamehameha the Great's death, the Royal Residence was moved again to the current location of Iolani Palace. Hundreds of years of history and hauntings reside in this Downtown area. From the Kamehameha Statue, we will walk to several buildings in the immediate vicinity and learn some of the haunted history that surrounds us.

What a night we had in Honolulu, learning about real-life tales of murder, vengeance, and redemption. Lopaka is an incredible guide on this journey to the invisible realms of consciousness, and kept us all on our toes. Best part -- we had photographic evidence of spirit activity at the Courthouse, and even captured a disembodied voice on our iPhone, intelligently answering one of our questions. It was a night to remember and I can't recommend Lopaka enough!

We had a great time learning some of the darker history of Honolulu. A orange kitty followed us everywhere and our guide was a wonder storyteller!

"Lopaka" Kapanui of the Mysteries of Hawaii is the ultimate best of Hawaii's legend to share our Hawaiian historical stories of time past! You are experiencing a true living treasure and a professional story teller of our Hawaiian kupunas. This esteemed & renowned Ghost Story Teller is a tribute to Glenn Grant who started telling our true stories of Old Hawaii. The same stories Lopaka grew up with like other Hawaiians, whose kupunas told the stories orally. Hats off to Trip Advisor for offering this true Hawaiian tours. The only hope is that attendees pay for their children & not think it's a freebie; especially when they disrupt the feeling of the tour. Children are not appropriate for these tours & it breaks the true experience. Also, in these days, children no matter the age must pay for a ticket.🤦‍♀️
