My wife and I visited Arizona for our anniversary and knew we wanted to do the Grand Canyon. Thankfully, Trip Advisor led us to Wandering Hearts, Cody did a great job making this trip awesome. We were picked up at 6 and hit the road. It was a group of about 9 total, so small enough to not feel like you were being heeding like cattle. Cody described local landscape and agriculture as we passed through the desert and then onto a completely different terrain. It was awesome to see how different the areas of 1 state can be. He did a great job breaking down the different plants (cactus, trees, etc) and explaining what we should expect to see where. We made a stop near flagstaff for snacks and restroom before continuing on to the canyon. When we arrived he brought us to a look out point and we spent around 45 minutes there. We then went to another area where we had about 1.5 hours to roam. The views were amazing and it wasn’t too crowded. Cody was around to take pictures of couples when needed, which was cool. We then had lunch, then went to Sedona. The drive into Sedona is absolutely breathtaking. The oak creek canyon area is a must see. We spent an hour or so in Sedona. It’s mostly just shops and what not. My wife and i did a tasting at 1912 winery. I highly suggest it. Great wine and reasonable prices with a terrific view of the red rocks. Afterwards the group went to a viewing area for red rock near sunset. It was beautiful. All in all it was about a 12-13 hour trip. It’s taxing, but well worth it. If you’re in town, don’t pass this up, thank me later.
