The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.
Please note: Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings and switches between MST (Mountain Standard Time) and PST (Pacific Standard Time) depending on the season.

Relaxing day trip to Grand Canyon. Slow moving train ride - felt somewhat long, but overall great experience. If train moved a bit faster, it would of been better. Coming back was somewhat tiring.

After reading some less than enthusiastic reviews we took our chances on the train for our one day in Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the ease of transport to the park as well as the fun experience. The pre train ride Wild West show was a little goofy but cute. On board our car host Skip was very personable and informative. Free waters were provided and on train guitar players made the two hour train ride pass by quickly. Skip was great pointing out what he could and telling interesting tidbits. We had enough time in the three hours of free time to take the Hermit Road free shuttle to the end and back getting off at the lookouts we wanted to. Afterward we had a cocktail at the El Tavor hotel before walking back to the train. For us the train was a great choice!

Rob the PSA we had was awesome and made the trip a blast. He had a great personality. The Wild West Shootout, Musicians, and Train Robbery added to the experience. The two-hour train ride flew by. The price I paid was well worth it. No hassle of parking and traffic to worry about. They give you three hours in Grand Canyon Village which is enough time for a short hike and to explore the village.
