Till today morning everything was great...
Today, Grayline guys picked up and dropped us at Grand canyon... And the problem started...
We reached GC at 9.45 am and the driver cum guide told us (including 6 others) to wait at a specific point till he comes to take us for helicopter ride.... He told all the bus members to come back in exactly 4 hours after completing skywalk and other attractions...
We waited for approx 30 mins... He didn't come, I went back to the bus and found him talking to the other bus driver.... He actually forgot all of us and on my reminder he said... Let's go...
In all this time waste, we were almost last for the helicopter ride which we could complete by 12 pm... We ran to complete the other activities.. Due to this delay we end up standing in long queue of skywalk and barely finished our lunch in hush hush...
We couldn't complete other 2 attractions..
We took the bus back at 1.40 pm to reach our bus but since these internal buses runs on schedule, we end up reaching our bus around 2.10 PM where the other fellow passengers were waiting for almost 30 mins for us...
Now the bigger problem *As soon as we entered the bus, the passengers started booing our family and also started yelling at us... We tried to tell them that the delay was due to some other issue but no one listened to us.. Driver also didn't say anything to them*
Our family (including kids) were in shock since they had never seen such an embarrassment earlier.. The whole family was almost in tears ...
My point was:
1. When driver knew that our group is going to take more time, why he had not sequenced us earlier... Our bus was the first/second bus in the morning and we could have completed the activity faster
2. why only 4 hrs schedule was given when it was so tight to complete the activities... We reached hotel at 6.30 pm... Probably 30-45 minutes more could be managed..
3. Most importantly... When the driver was aware that when we reached the bus, other passengers were not in good mood, he could have sensed it and told something to them to handle the delay part, which was due to him (may be rush or technical issue etc) .. He left us in this state alone ..
I am extremely disappointed and our families are also hurt internally.. I don't know how to handle this but I want you to please lodge the complaint on this matter...
