We signed up for the 7:30 am group class with Mason and absolutely loved it! There were only three people in our group and Mason was super thorough in teaching us the basics and attentive to each of us while out on the water. He gave us lots of positive but constructive feedback that helped us both catch our first waves! There were not a lot of people out there when we went which was nice (definitely recommend the 7:30 am class) and everyone back at the shop was so friendly as well!

Dad(50), daughter(18) and son(15) had an amazing 2 hours of surfing. Our instructor Willy was fun but serious about keeping us safe and learning the correct way.

We did group surfing lessons, there was a total of 4 in the group so everyone got to ride several waves with individualized coaching and assistance from our instructor, Brax. He was so helpful and encouraging, as was the rest of the MWR staff. The water was busy, especially because we went during the summer and the tide was low which made getting waves a bit more difficult, but Brax always found us waves and everyone in our group got up on the board! Great place for learning the basics of surfing in an area with others learning, too. Shoes and rash guard were provided. Drink plenty of water! We had a great time.
