Our experience was so-so. The instructor took our group to an area that was somewhat rocky....while there were much better places with fewer rocks and better waves nearby. Other groups nearby were getting waves all the time....even with other instructors from the same school....we always seemed to be too far out. Only caught 1 wave the whole time. Most of the time was spent on shore...that's fine I guess, but we only spent about 50 minutes in the water. Boards were big clunky single fin foam, kinda beat up...Staff was friendly....photos were poor quality...very few of them because we had very little worth capturing....the one time we did get a wave....no photos...sorry guys we had a better time a couple of days ago at another school....better location in the water further away from rocks, many more waves to ride...we caught about 5 good ones...and great pictures....

There was conflicting info between the 2 instructors on where to be on the board. The location was crowded with other learners in the central part of the cove where most of the nice waves were. The instructors were great with the kiddos but the flip side is that they had less bandwidth to assist the adults who are also new to surfing. There were no clear individualized feedbacks/ instructions on how to get the techniques down better or what could be done differently on the next try. We were literally just asked to try again. It was pleasant for a first time but could have been better structured for the adults who needed help. It was great for the kids since they were lighter and could balance well on the board. Bottomline :This course is great for a first exposure to surfing but instructors need to provide individualized feedbacks for those struggling to get on the board.
