I was with a Meetup group of 12 that was split based on experience. There were multiple stops, as I was in a beginner group and then 2 in my group got sick a 1/4 of the way (total 23 miles). Instead of having the remaining 4 of us join the other group, we all had to go back and were unable to continue on. I felt bad for those that were sick and it wasn't their fault, however, I don't understand how the rest of us were unable to continue on with the other group. This was on my bucket list and I am very disappointed. I understand that it is the livelihood for the tour group, but we should have been given a credit to use towards another time....since we ended only a 1/4 of the way. They should have had someone on standby to retrieve those that fall ill......it was a very hot day. From my understanding, this Company has been in service for several years and I am sure this was not the first time that this has happened. To make matters worse, we had to wait at least 45 minutes for the other group to come back, as one was travelling with us. I drove approximately 4 hours RT to Sedona from Phoenix; it took a full tank of gas, plus $169. for the guided tour. The guides were very nice and accommodating throughout, but I am not a happy camper with how things ended so abruptly, missing the scenery, etc.
