The Gypsy Gold Horse Farm was very interesting. The family stories and hearing how this exciting beautiful horses came to America were very interesting. This tour is a must for all animal lovers.

This really was a great tour. The tour guide loves these horses. He told the most interesting stories, and you were able to pet And interact with all of them. There were other animals on the farm as well which made it even more fun. It was a wonderful, laid-back family atmosphere. And of course the horses were beautiful.

First of all, I had no idea gypsies currently suffer from bigotry, and I knew very little about their history. This tour taught me so much about their history, the horses that pulled their caravans, and the story of how these special horses came to America and are now a breed of their own. Dennis Thompson, the owner of Gypsy Gold farm, is a wonderful storyteller and had our rapt attention for the entire tour. He has a wonderful sense of humor, is passionate about the Gypsy Vanner horses and their history and is an encyclopedia of knowledge. We learned of his meager beginnings, the many products he invented, and his dream for making his farm an educational opportunity for all ages. We started by sitting outside for about 1 hour, learning the history of the horses. Then we had a guided walking tour around the farm and were able to pet horses, mules and a very adorable donkey who managed to escape his pen and follow us the rest of the tour! The farm is also a refuge for a large number of parrots. I would highly recommend this tour!!
