When we started planning out trip to Jackson Hole for a family wedding, I learned that early May would be during “mud” season and a lot of things were not open. No problem because the day after the wedding our private half day Teton Tour with JH Wildlife Safari was so much fun. We were picked up at our hotel by our guide, Grant Bell. He had a light breakfast and snacks waiting in the van. Grant was so knowledgeable about the history of the area, the animals, and the best times to be at each location. He took us to incredible view points of the Tetons reflected in the lakes. Grant was always willing to find good vantage points for photographs. He took us to Jenny Lake, Jackson Lake, Colter Bay, Oxbow Bend, Mormon Row, Chapel of the Transfiguration plus on a short walk at Schwabacher Landing and several overlooks. He tired hard to find us a grizzly, and although we didn’t see one this day, he did locate two the next day on our full day Yellowstone tour. He checked to be sure we didn’t have any afternoon plans at the end of our tour and suggested we all go to lunch at Dornan’s at Moose which was a great idea. I definitely recommend Wildlife Safari Tours, and Grant is the real deal!
