Really enjoyed this outing with my stepson. Mateo was an excellent guide, the scenery was spectacular, and everything we needed was provided, including hiking poles, small backpacks, snacks, water refills, and rain jackets (just in case). Learned a lot and loved the chance to see the island from a different vantage point.

Mark was an excellent guide - he took us through the mountain & helped explain the sights, the flora & fauna, and generally had fun with us! The hike itself was beautiful and something to remember for sure. It was a special place that we were given access to. The hike is “moderate” but given the terrain is quite rocky/gravelly at times, through the bushes & up hills - I would actually coin it more “extreme”. Wear good hiking shoes with a good grip & take the guide up on their offer of hiking sticks + gloves! You’ll need them.

Definitely a worthwhile and fun experience!! Really cool tour of the unique geology of Hawaii!! The tour guide we had was knowledgeable and showed us a lot of really cool stuff, and got great pictures!!
