Cruise ship passengers will need to arrange travel to Hulls Cove Visitor Center as we have no human transport vehicles. We recommend the Island Explorer (free) or Cadillac Mtn. Shuttle (taxi). PLEASE plan this in advance.
Ebike battery charges last 30 to 50 miles depending on the effort and body weight of the renter.
All ebikes are class 1 (pedaling required) consistent with park service rules
We will text you 24 hours before your rental to remind you of the location and start time.
All ebikes come with an insulated bag, lock, phone holder, helmet and map.
All participants need to be capable of riding a typical pedal bike.

The e-bike was not properly sized for my wife who is 5' tall and she could not control the bike. She ended up falling so we returned the bikes after only 1/2 hour use. The attendant said we could go to their shop to try and find a better fitting bike. They had my wife's height and weight when I reserved the bikes online. They should have provided an appropriately sized bike or at least advised us that they did not have a bike that would fit her.

I am sorry that your wife could not control the bike. Before you left for the ride your wife mentioned that she had not ridden a bike in 20 years. The bike was sized properly but not all customers can ride a bike. We have customers of all heights and ages that cannot ride a bike. We offered for you to try a class 2 ebike with a throttle because sometimes elderly people have an easier time learning to ride with a throttled ebike.

Biking through the woods in Acadia Natl Park. It was simply beautiful. The e-bikes made it so easy to get around.

We had an absolute blast on the E-bikes. We ride both Class 1 & 2. Class 1’s are allowed on the Carriage Roads and the Class 2 & 3 bikes are only allowed on the pavement or tar. Either type makes inclines a breeze! I recommend to NEVER use the left brake-only the right or rear brake. Ross, the owner, was extremely helpful and would bring the bikes and pick them up wherever it was mutually convenient . Depending on our need, he would bring the correct class of bike. I can’t rave enough over island Time EBikes. In fact, we now want to purchase a pair for us! Bar Harbour is very crowded and the bikes enabled us to move and park easily. It is the way to go!
