We were not in the vehicle as shown on our tour page. Ours was an open vehicle which changes everything. Hot sun on our back and My husband was cut up from branches. It says this is rugged but with the other jeep as pictured… It looked very doable. The roads shown with the enclosed vehicle is great but unfortunately we didn’t have that. Honestly and sadly it was not a pretty place, hardly a flower and no wildlife besides one hawk in the distance. No real medical kit on board for my husband‘s cuts which then gave pause to what we three women would use if we had to go behind a rock after all that jostling... no toilet paper. Luckily the other woman had antiseptic wipes for his bleeding. The guide gave him a dirty glove to press against his cuts. A large bolt sticking out of a poll could have caused me damage so I was forever making sure to sit a certain way to avoid it for 4 hours. Nothing pretty at all about this trip. We were disappointed as were the couple and their two children with us. We felt deceived by the looks of our vehicle… Open air and dirty. I think this particular tour was misrepresented.

Hello Diana, we are sorry that you were disappointed in your tour! We do have two different types of vehicles that we use, enclosed or open jeeps and suvs. The guide mentioned that he did access the first aid kit for you. We are also sorry that you didn't find the Mojave Desert a beautiful place.

The bumps and swerved, and the facts and sights! Lots of fun! The guide was a great driver, very knowledgeable, and very friendly! She put together a great adventure!!! Want to do the fault tour too.

We had a wonderful time entering the road less traveled on the southern side of the park. We learned a lot about the park and enjoyed Jeff, our tour guide. We stopped and took great pics at an area with an abundance of Joshua Trees. Then did some ‘rock climbing’ in an area with massive rocks. I recommend the Jeep that’s open in the back for great views of the park.
