Wow. This trip was well worth it. We saw 3 rays that were SO close to you. It was a once in a lifetime experience. I was nervous about being in the ocean at night and I don’t consider myself to be a great swimmer. I typically don’t do things that are adventurous. I worried for no reason. You can rent wet suits for $10 (we did but probably didn’t need them). You can also get a life jacket (I did, but my wife and son did not). Jake is the person that greeted us on arrival, briefed us and got us prepared. The crew was AWESOME. Captain Bill, Life guard Jordan and Shay. Shay was in the water with us the entire time and explained all about the Manta Rays. She also helped those that were less comfortable or nervous. This is a very short boat ride which is great. You are in the water for about 30min, which is just about the right amount of (not too long and not too shorty). I went back to the boat a few minutes early actually. Anyway, this was a great experience. I am glad we went and would highly recommend Hawaiian Island and Ocean Tours for your excursion.

Super amazing experience, totally scary but so worth a little fear. Wet suit was worth it, jumped into the ocean hugging my pool noodle, got to the long board and relaxed. Stretched out and before you know it you start to see the rays, they get super close, was an amazing experience. Jordan kept us safe in the water, Captian Bill and Shea were great too!

I was a diver in my youth, but I wanted to check this out. The place was easy to find, but the nearby dumpster smelled of dead fish. The water was a little choppy and chilly. We got a good look at one manta ray and partial views of a few others. The 20-25 minutes was enough time in the water to see what I wanted and get back to land. Some people at the other end of the board didn't see as much as me.
