Horrible for me!!!! 1 star. Ok for my 9 year old 3 star. Phenomenal for my husband 5 star. To start with me- So for anyone who gets seasick 6 hours puking over the edge in freezing cold weather and rain this was horrific. I spent 95 percent of my time leaned over the rail waiting to puke or puking. I would say there were at least 5-10 others in my boat. We were a breakfast club. Lol. I had two layers of clothing gloves a hat and would say my hands were frost bite or at least tingling afterwards for a couple of hours. My daughter 9 enjoyed the trip but 6 hours mostly sitting in a booth and occasionally seeing a whale or dolphin gets old. Fortunately we met a wonderful couple and grandson who entertained my daughter as I stood outside puking. My husband thought this was the best tour ever and the highlight of our 11 day Alaska tour. Beating out the $1200 bear tour in Katmai National park (in his opinion). When we got to the glacier it was calm waters and I was able to see it. It was beautiful. My husband was absolutely mesmerized by the experience.I enjoyed it too. The company and competitors need to do better job earning the potential sick people. 5-10 people shouldn’t pay to puke in cold for hours. I will say the staff was great in identifying us. They were quick to get us all ginger ale water saltines buckets to wash away the puke hot water to warm up bath bags and anything else. They quickly identified us sick folk and kept an eye on us. I saw them entering the bathrooms frequently and spraying Lysol. They did encourage puke over the rail and feed the fish versus the barf bag which I did but I’m sure it wasn’t enjoyable for the others to watch 5-10 people puking. Never again for me. (I also knew I get seasick and took one Dramamine 30 minutes before departure). Too little too late.

I’m really sorry to hear that your experience wasn’t as positive as you’d hoped. Seasickness can be incredibly tough, especially in challenging weather conditions. It’s great to hear that the staff did their best to support you and that you were able to enjoy some of the trip, including the beautiful glacier. I’m sorry it wasn’t enjoyable for you overall, but I’m glad your husband had such a memorable experience and that your daughter had some moments of fun. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback.

This was my second whale adventure as we tried it in New England last year. I’m going to say I preferred this as we actually saw whales! Lots and lots of whales! And bald eagles, and orcas and otters and sea lions and harbor seals and puffins! We saw sail whales, humpback, fin whales, a pod of orcas with a baby and even porpoises. The boat is very nice, and even has phone chargers. One tip…I don’t care that it’s July and you wore a windbreaker and t shirt to climb a glacier…it’s cold…really really cold! And windy. Wear the cold gear a hat and mittens! Also…the gluten free bread was amazing! Thank you for not only providing but exceeding expectations. I be loved the enthusiasm from the crew the entire time, everyone was so nice We love the brochure that told what to look for.

It’s great to hear that you had such an incredible whale adventure, especially with all the amazing wildlife sightings like whales, bald eagles, orcas, and more! It’s fantastic that the boat had thoughtful amenities like phone chargers and that the gluten-free bread exceeded your expectations. Your tip about dressing warmly, even in July, is really helpful—cold and windy conditions on a glacier can definitely catch you off guard! The crew’s enthusiasm and the informative brochure sound like they added a lot to your experience. Thanks for sharing your feedback and tips!

We understand your frustration regarding the refund process. Unfortunately, when bookings are made through third-party platforms like Viator, the refund process can take a bit longer as we have to coordinate with them. Rest assured, we are doing everything in our power to expedite your refund.
