We had scheduled a day-trip to Ketchikan via Alaska Airlines during our extended vacation stay in Juneau and originally had scheduled the Ketchikan 4-In-1 Tour w/ Seaside Tours. A couple of days before the tour, we received an email stating they were putting us on a different tour because one of our destinations was closed. Okay, we understood and agreed to the Ketchikan All-In-One tour at no additional cost. On our tour date we waited at our appointed meeting destination with others that had scheduled the tour. The guide was supposed to meet us at 10:15am for a 10:30am departure. At 10:35am she showed up saying she had a family emergency and could not do the tour. I called the tour company office asking if they had another guide. They did not have another guide, nor were they even aware that our guide had canceled!! The tour company was apologetic and did refund our money immediately, but it was a very disappointing experience. We were only in Ketchikan for one single day and were left with [thankfully] finding another tour at the last minute. Luckily, we found a private guide that was amazing. Other reviews show this is not the first time this company has canceled at the last minute...

Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience. If wehad been able to take you out we would have loved to. I am very happy to hear you guys found another tour to enjoy our beautiful island. We at Seaside have had a rough season and due to that we have decided to close for the 2021 season and come back strong next year.

Turned out we were only ones on the tour so it was vip all the way. Love the guide was a local gal and the driver, guide in training hailed from our home town. Saw bear and salmon. Learned alot about the local lifestyle, even got to sample some local fare. Loved the totems'!! Was great all the way!

Our Ketchikan tour was interrupted by the death of the guide. His wife explained she would get us on another tour same as ours. She did and we visited all the same places. Had to pay the new guide, but we were told that we're going to be reimbursed later. We enjoyed the tour that Jason narrated.
