This is a high speed adventure. The staff makes sure you are adequately trained in the operation of your machine. After the first couple of minutes, the group comes together to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable with handling the jet ski or has any questions. We were offered the opportunity to turn back and return to the launch deck. The 2nd rider free was a huge plus for my husband and me (we are 74 and 66 years old), and we could have switched drivers had we desired to. However, I do not think I would have had the upper body strength to control the jet ski. The description says one staffer will go with the high speed thrill seekers and another staff member will hang back with the slower riders. With the slower riders, we were expecting a slower scenic tour around the island, seeing it from the water side. Slower is still very fast, necessitated by the rough ocean or gulf waves. We have ridden a jet ski before, but a midwestern lake is no comparison.
