We purchased the GoCityCard and took the Kualoa Farm Ranch Food Tour. It was a very enjoyable tour. The guide was funny and I enjoyed the open trolley, the samples of fresh fruit etc. It was informative and I learned several things I didn't know about the produce. The best thing about the tour was the natural exquisite beauty. It is definitely a different view of Oahu. Several movies were filmed here; including 2 of my favorites, 50 First Dates and Jurassic Park.
I also enjoyed the gift shop. It had multiple shelves with food from Hawaii you could purchase, and my boyfriend got some nice sunglasses. I purchased a turtle soap dish to help support the local turtle preservation effort.
We had a lot of fun on the tour and the two stops were nice. There was a hen with her chicks running around one of the times we stopped and my grandson loved them. It was very entertaining when one of the other guest tried to pet a chick. The momma hen did not peck her but did rush her enough for her to know that petting was not allowed.
I was sent an email to offer suggestions ...Here is what I would have liked...
Reduce the price on the buffet. Provide car seats/boosters with straps. It seemed a little dangerous with a twenty month old on my lap the two times the trolley went on the main road. However, it was not long till we were back on the farm.
The driver did not explain anything about the fish ponds or the canoe. I was very interested in the fish ponds, but we didn't hear anything about them. Adding that to the narrative would be great.
I think the go card should have at least one other option, or a list of the packages that were available for purchase. I probably would have purchased one of the other packages if I had known about them ahead of time and if they had included the buffet. There are multiple attractions available that would be fun for all kinds of travelers; such as, couples, families, single people, and even solo.
I will definitely come back if I get a chance.
Maholo and blessings to you all!
