Has learning to surf been your dream? It’s a good one to have, and the calm waters of La Jolla Shores is the best spot to learn! Our experienced instructors are eager to share their passion for surfing with beginners and intermediates alike - no experience necessary, all equipment provided.

Our instructors respect each student’s choice regarding his or her level of participation in the lesson, and comfort in the water. You’ll have fun learning how to surf in a safe environment!

Fantastic morning with Emily learning to surf. I booked a private lesson for my two sons and they had a great time. Fab teachers, fab shop, helpful staff. Would 100% recommend this company. Visiting from UK and taking home some great memories.

Carter was the perfect first surf instructor for my teen daughter. He was patient, cautious and knowledgeable. Dean helped our two teen friends who had surfed before and he also was very skilled, professional and patient. I felt they all were very safe. They wear yellow long sleeve shirts over wet suits so they can easily pinpoint the students. Know that it is a good 15 min walk with the surfboard from the store to surf area on the beach. The only suggestion would be to have the rental surfboards down at the beach already and ask for credit card deposit before lesson. That way they can continue surfing immediately after lesson and not have to make the long walk to and from the store.
