Our family had a wonderful time! We stayed in a Ninjago room, and visited the park for two days. We loved the little details in the room decor and the scavenger hunt! The disco elevators were also a big hit! Our favorite attractions were the 4D movie, the Factory Tour, the Disco Party, and the spinning pirate boats. We didn’t get to ride the dragon because it broke down right before we were about to take off. We didn’t get to do Jay’s Gravity either. There were several attractions that were shut down (due to staffing issues?) Minifigure trading was fun. We liked the little details throughout the park.
Generally speaking, the Model Citizens (employees) were friendly and helpful. That said, the park could use more staff, and more management. The staff seemed overwhelmed and confused. Some of the protocol is unclear. For example, entering the park from the ticket booth to the entrance requires walking in front of other cuing patrons. One MC didn’t know when his break was, and awkwardly asked us to wait in line until his replacement came. One MC had to shut down her ride for another confusing issue. They are trying their best, but more management is clearly needed.
The food at Legoland is average to sub-par. We ate hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, barbecue and the breakfast buffet. The ice cream and popcorn were our favorite treats. The buffet was okay, but the barbecue was not very good at all. My family was not able to get a dinner reservation at the hotel , so we ordered Grubhub from a local restaurant.
All in all, I would recommend Legoland highly! We had a lot of fun, the design details make the experience special, and the Model Citizens were friendly and helpful.
