We’ve been to the FL and the CA ones and enjoyed both of those immensely. We were so excited to have this open within a couple of hours drive for us. We came during previews on Memorial Day weekend and again today. If possible, today’s experience was worse than the preview (which wasn’t great either). My biggest complaint is that the staff do not know how to move the lines to the rides quickly. We waited 40+mins for Anchors Away only to get to the front of the line and see the attendant consistently leaving 1-2 rows open. It was not for social distancing. She just didn’t know how to ask down the line who had groups that could fit the remaining rows. That was very unnerving to see because our wait could have easily been 10-15 mins shorter if she had done that. This was seen again at Splash Battle where boats that could hold 8 people were filled with 4. At the Coast Guard Academy, only 4 or 5 boats were in use yet there were 15 sitting there idle. That line hardly moved in the time I waited before giving up. At Jay’s Gravity trainer, there was only 1 attendant who had to let people on/off, check seat belts, and run the ride. It was a good 10 mins of sitting there waiting for the ride to begin. My review only focuses on time but I think we only managed 4/5 rides the entire day which didn’t amount to a whole lot of fun.
We won’t be back for these reasons. Even though I hold annual passes, it’s not something that’s fun enough to drive back. Lastly, they must need more staff at this place because both times that I used the restroom, the stall was out of toilet paper.
