Our guide, Mandy Edgecombe, is a scholar in New Amsterdam! Additionally, she was a good story teller and brought New Amsterdam to life showing how the original settlers way of life still influences Manhattan culture and mindset. Also, Mandy took into consideration weather, ducking us in and out of secret hiding spots to make sure we were comfortable the entire time. What a treat! I highly recommend!

I was amazed at the detail, prep, knowledge and good humor of our guide Justin who brought New Amsterdam alive in our walk below Wall Street along the street grid still intact from the 17th century Dutch days. Justin provided each of us with the 1660 survey of the town and pointed out the rare Dutch objects and remnants we would easily miss otherwise. He made sure we had sanitizer, wipes if we needed them. It was for me, a researcher of New Netherland, an absolutely fantastic tour.
